Carlo Faggi, known on stage as Mago Fax, has always devoted himself to everything that astonishes and amazes. He tackles even the most complex scientific subjects with the attitude of a curious child who simply has to know "how it works", and he is an expert in perception and visual illusions.

His creation is the Illusionarium, an interactive museum of optical illusions where visitors discover the fascinating secrets of how our brain works. Do we really see what we think we see? How reliable are our eyes? Guiding young and old through the tricks of the mind is a professor in steampunk dress, and at the end everyone takes home a little illusion to build, like the tiny dragon that watches you from every angle. His work has earned him the Ambrogino d'Oro, an award for the most original museum and the Premio Leonardo for scientific research and outreach, which in its two previous editions went to Rita Levi Montalcini and Margherita Hack.

Audiences at the Masters of Magic Convention met him in 2013.
