1. Data controller
The controller of personal data collected through mastersofmagicconvention.com is Masters of Magic, based in Italy. For any request related to this notice or to exercise your rights you can write to info@mastersofmagicconvention.com.
2. Categories of data
- Browsing data (automatically collected): IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, time spent. Processed in aggregate and anonymous form for statistical purposes.
- Data you provide through forms: first name, last name, email, optional message in the contact form.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see the Cookie Policy for details.
3. Purposes and legal basis
- Answer requests sent through the contact form (legal basis: pre-contractual measures at the data subject's request, GDPR art. 6.1.b).
- Newsletter subscription (legal basis: explicit consent, art. 6.1.a). You can withdraw consent any time via the unsubscribe link in every email.
- Anonymous traffic statistics via Google Analytics (legal basis: consent, art. 6.1.a; cookies set only after banner acceptance).
- Marketing via Meta Pixel when active (legal basis: consent, art. 6.1.a; only after banner acceptance).
4. Processing methods
Data is processed with electronic tools, with security measures adequate to prevent unauthorised access, loss, destruction or disclosure. It is not subject to fully automated decision-making or profiling producing legal effects on you (GDPR art. 22).

6. Extra-EU transfers
Some providers (Google, Meta, Mailchimp) are based in the United States. Transfers are based on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission (decision 2021/914) and, where applicable, on the providers' adherence to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
7. Retention
- Contact form data: 24 months from last contact.
- Newsletter: until the user unsubscribes.
- Anonymised analytics logs: 14 months (GA4 default).

8. Your rights
You have the right, at any time, to:
- request access, rectification or erasure of your data (GDPR arts. 15-17);
- request restriction of processing (art. 18);
- object to processing (art. 21);
- request portability (art. 20);
- withdraw your consent at any time (art. 7), without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

9. Complaint to the supervisory authority
If you believe processing breaches the GDPR you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).
10. Children
The site is not intended for users under 14. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 14 (GDPR art. 8 · Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 art. 2-quinquies). If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided us with data, write to info@mastersofmagicconvention.com and we will erase it.
11. Security measures
We adopt technical and organisational measures appropriate to risk (GDPR art. 32), including: HTTPS / TLS encrypted connections, access control, admin activity logging, periodic backups, environment segregation, regular updates of WordPress core and plugins.
12. Data Protection Officer (DPO)
A DPO has not been designated as the conditions of GDPR art. 37 do not apply. For any privacy request please contact the data controller at info@mastersofmagicconvention.com.
13. "Do Not Track" and browser settings
The site honours the Do Not Track signal: Google Analytics and Vimeo scripts are configured with
anonymize_ip and dnt=1. You can also disable cookies directly from your browser settings
(see the Cookie Policy for step-by-step instructions).
