Yanyan Ma

On our stage at:

2018

Young and elegant, Yanyan Ma is a Chinese dancer who pairs a sophisticated style of magic with classical ballet: music, dance and illusion merge in an act of card and silk manipulation that culminates in the appearance of huge rainbow flags. Born in Dalian in 1992, she studied acrobatics and magic performance at the Dalian Art School from 2001 to 2007.

While still very young she represented her school in Turkey with an acrobatic show, working with a Hunan acrobatic troupe, and in 2006 she took part in cultural festivals in Japan and Korea. After a string of awards in Chinese competitions, including first prize at the Jin Ju Award in 2007, in 2009 she won first prize at the 24th FISM World Championship of Magic in Beijing; in 2014 she also took first prize at the China Beijing International Magic Carnival.

Masters of Magic Convention audiences applauded her in 2018.
