Disguido
On our stage at:
2013 FISM European Championship 2024
Disguido are Isabella and Guido, a couple on stage and in life. He is from Florence, a set designer trained at the Academy of Fine Arts; she is from Ancona, a psychologist whose thesis explored "trust in the illusionist". They met in 2005 in a Rome theatre, united by their love of acting, and Guido passed his passion for illusion on to Isabella. Their shows blend mime, dance, quick change, cabaret and magic, and every act is a tableau full of references to cinema and literature. They are equal partners: she is no magician's assistant, and if they ever staged the lady sawn in half, she would probably be the one doing the sawing.
Their signature piece is "Chapeau Cinema", a chapeaugraphie routine, the ancient art of Tabarin, that tells the history of film with a single ring of felt. With it they won the Mandrake d'Or in Paris in 2013 and the Merlin d'Or in Méribel, following first prizes at the Alberto Sitta Congress in Bologna and the San Marino International Magic Festival and third place at the Italian Magic Championship in Saint-Vincent. On television they have appeared on "Italia's Got Talent" and "La Grande Magia".
They brought their imagination to our stage at the 2013 Masters of Magic Convention and at the FISM European Championship of Magic in Saint-Vincent in 2024.
