Ali Cook

On our stage at:

United Magicians for the World 2020

Ali Cook is a magician, writer and actor who has written and starred in seven entertainment series for Channel 4 and Five, including "The Secret World of Magic" (Sky One), a cult hit in the magic community. When he presented "Dirty Tricks" on Channel 4, producer Andrew O'Connor told him that to host a studio show he had to hold an audience with no props: the series was nominated for a British Comedy Award and Ali became a headliner on the comedy circuit, with some of the most critically acclaimed shows at the Edinburgh Fringe.

He has guested on some of the world's biggest variety shows, including "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" and "Le Plus Grand Cabaret du Monde". As an actor he has appeared in thirty independent feature films, notably the BIFA winning "Kajaki", and his short film "The Cunning Man" has won 23 awards, taking second place at the Méliès d'Argent for best fantasy film.

He was our guest at United Magicians for the World, the 2020 online charity show.
