Andrew Basso

On our stage at:

United Magicians for the World 2020

Andrew Basso is one of the leading names in escapology worldwide. In 2005 he became the youngest magician in history, and the first Italian, to win the world Escape Champion title, and the press has called him the natural successor to Harry Houdini. As a star of The Illusionists he has played Broadway, the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, London's West End, the Sydney Opera House and the Arena di Verona.

On television he has appeared on networks across the United States and Europe, from Le Plus Grand Cabaret du Monde to Italia's Got Talent, and starred in two seasons of Fuori! Born to Escape. He told his story in the autobiography Believe the Impossible (Mondadori), founded the Prestige Magic Academy in 2009, and is a passionate collector of Houdini memorabilia and rare antique restraints.

In 2012 he took first place in the Masters of Magic Italian championship, and in 2020 he took part in United Magicians for the World, the online charity show produced by Masters of Magic.
