"Step right up, ladies and gentlemen, come and see Mago Jabba's sideshow!" With this old time barker's cry began the show of Jabba, stage name of Piero Ustignani, one of Italy's best known illusionists. He won his first contest at eleven in Asiago, receiving his prize from Adriano Celentano and Mago Odaba, who advised him to attend the Club Magico Italiano school in Bologna: there, some years later, he passed the close-up exam and then the stage exam at the Teatro Orione, becoming a fully fledged illusionist.

In 2005 he turned his passion into a Barnum style show and began touring Italy with a carriage theatre: in the role of the charlatan magician he presented sideshow wonders, the headless woman, the spider with a woman's head, the bearded lady, the sword swallower and many more, alongside a Wunderkammer of curiosities unique in Italy. Television soon called, from "Chi ha incastrato Peter Pan" to "Mistero", "Italia's Got Talent", "Arcana" and "Masters of Magic" on Rai 2.

A longtime friend of our stage who passed away in 2022, Jabba appeared at the Masters of Magic Convention in 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
