Lennart Green, from Gothenburg in Sweden, is one of the most brilliant and unpredictable figures in world card magic. He started with cards at 18, mostly gambling techniques, refining them through sleepless nights while working at a prison and a psychiatric hospital: dealing himself a royal flush earned him the respect of prisoners and patients alike. He went on to study medicine and worked as a doctor for fifteen years before turning to magic full time in 1991 and 1992. He does not call himself a magician, preferring the title "Misdirector".

In 1991, at the FISM congress in Lausanne, he became World Champion in Card Magic and Close-up. He is famous for routines that look completely chaotic yet hide enormous manipulative skill, collected in the seven-DVD series "Lennart Green's Classic Green". He has appeared on the television series "World's Greatest Magic" and lectures at magic clubs around the world. He collects aphorisms and puzzles and, with his brother Peter, repairs and collects old violins.

Audiences at the Masters of Magic Convention applauded him in 2008 and 2010.
