2008

Marco Berry is an illusionist, escape artist, television host and writer. He started performing illusions at the age of 11, but it was discovering Harry Houdini that changed his life and steered him towards escapology. He made his TV debut as a magician in 1985, appeared on Bim bum bam in 1987 and helped write the hidden camera show Scherzi a parte.

Wide popularity came in 1997 with Le Iene. In 2000 he hosted Danger, a programme devoted to conjuring, revived in 2007, and in the following years he turned to social themes with shows such as Invisibili (2003), telling the stories of homeless people, Vivo x miracolo and Cash Taxi; from 2010 he was a special correspondent for Mistero. He founded the charity Marco Berry Magic for Children, which helps children in need in the poorest parts of the world, and in 2020 he took part in Pechino Express alongside his daughter Ludovica.

Masters of Magic Convention audiences applauded him in 2008.
