Massimo Polidoro

On our stage at:

2011 FISM Italy 2015

Massimo Polidoro is considered one of the world's leading experts on mysteries and the psychology of the unusual. Fascinated by magic and illusion since childhood, he fulfilled his dream of becoming a "mystery investigator" thanks to a scholarship from Piero Angela: he moved to the United States and spent more than a year as apprentice to the famous illusionist and investigator James Randi.

Back in Italy he graduated in psychology from the University of Padua, specialising in the psychology of the unusual and of deception, and became the first and only Italian lecturer to teach a university course on the subject, at the University of Milano Bicocca. He is co-founder and secretary of CICAP, the Italian committee for the investigation of paranormal claims, founded with Piero Angela and scholars such as Umberto Eco, Margherita Hack, Rita Levi Montalcini and Umberto Veronesi.

For thirteen years he edited the magazine "Scienza & Paranormale", and in 2004 he founded "Magia. La rivista italiana di cultura magica". He was our guest at the Masters of Magic Convention 2011 and at the FISM World Championship of Magic in Rimini 2015, produced by Masters of Magic.
