Men in Coats

On our stage at:

2008

Men in Coats are the masters of visual comedy: a comedy magic project created by Michael Dow, born from years of exploring the best of British humour and performed by the duo of Dow and Maddy Sparham. After their very first appearance they won the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year and sold out their first Edinburgh Festival.

Their blend of slapstick and visual trickery, a nonsense humour that straddles magic and juggling, has won audiences all over the world: in 2006 alone they performed in fifteen countries, and their audiences have included the British royal family. They have appeared on the Royal Variety Show, Just for Laughs and Le Plus Grand Cabaret du Monde, received the Moers Comedy Award, and one of their videos became one of the first viral hits, sitting among YouTube's ten most watched comedy videos throughout the site's first year.

Men in Coats brought the house down at the Masters of Magic Convention in 2008.
