Michael Moschen

On our stage at:

FISM Italy 2015

Michael Moschen is ranked among the world's leading jugglers and one of America's most visionary performing artists: he transformed an ancient circus art into a mesmerizing concert form, hailed by the Los Angeles Times and The New York Times for its "genius" and "flawless purity". A MacArthur Foundation Fellow, he has performed solo and with other leading artists Off-Broadway, in major concert halls and at festivals across Europe, Asia and the Americas.

He has worked with the Big Apple Circus, with Bill Irwin and in the Obie Award-winning "Foolsfire", and Cirque du Soleil commissioned him to create a new work for its permanent show in Las Vegas. His film credits include "Hair" and "Annie", and in Jim Henson's "Labyrinth" he choreographed and performed the crystal ball manipulation as David Bowie's hands. PBS devoted the special "In Motion with Michael Moschen" to his life and work, and his art, rooted in ball manipulation and contact juggling, has been seen on countless television programs. A student of the physical and mathematical principles behind his work, he has lectured on innovation and creativity at M.I.T. and Carnegie Mellon.

He was our guest at the FISM World Championship of Magic in Rimini 2015.
