Peter Marvey

The Swiss master of impossible illusions

Swiss illusionist Peter Marvey has built an international reputation on one simple promise: showing the audience things that should not be possible. His original illusions, designed and refined by himself, have earned him invitations and awards around the world, and his celebrated flying illusion, performed free in space, has become his signature image, an illusion other professionals study and discuss.

In Switzerland he created his own home for magic, the Magic House in the Lucerne region, where he presents his full show in a theatre built around his illusions. From there his productions have travelled to stages and television shows across Europe and Asia, always with the same mix of technical invention, fast rhythm and fairy-tale imagery that makes his style instantly recognisable.

An inventor as much as a performer, Marvey received the Golden Grolla from Masters of Magic in 2011, as one of the European illusionists who never stopped pushing the boundaries of what an illusion can be.

Honoured by Masters of Magic among the legends who have shaped the history of magic.
