Captain Frodo

On our stage at:

2017 2022

Captain Frodo has been a performer all his life. The son of a magician, he discovered the stage in The Great Santini's Magic Show in Norway. Born with hypermobile joints, he started out in escapology: wriggling out of a straitjacket became the finale of the family show. Yet audiences turned out to be more fascinated by the crazy contortions and strange dislocations than by the escape itself, and so The Incredible Rubberman was born, turning a physical quirk into an art.

He has performed with the Kamikaze Freakshow, Circus Oz, Circus Monoxide and, for ten years, with La Soirée (aka La Clique), as well as with Vegas Nocturne in Las Vegas and OhLaLa Crazy, Sexy, Artistic Circus, alongside his own full-length solo shows. The London press called him the Tommy Cooper of contortion, and his climb up a tower of ever smaller upturned buckets has become a comment on the absurdity of human endeavour, hysterically funny and surprisingly moving.

He brought his bendy brand of comedy to the Masters of Magic Convention in 2017 and 2022.
