2013

Finnish magician Marko Karvo specializes in exotic birds and is regarded as one of the very best in the world in this field. In July 2012 in Blackpool he became FISM World Champion of General Stage Magic, crowning a career rich in honors: the Mandrake d'Or in 2000, the Baguette d'Argent at the Grands Prix Magiques in Monte Carlo in 1996, several Scandinavian championships and TROFE awards, multiple Magician of the Year titles from the Finnish Magic Circle and, in 2000, the Culture Prize of the Finnish government, the first circus and variety artist to receive it.

For six years he performed at the Lido in Paris, dazzling an estimated 2.5 million spectators in more than 3,500 shows. He has appeared in the great variety theaters of Europe, from Tivoli in Copenhagen to the Berlin Wintergarten, from the Tigerpalast in Frankfurt to the Hansa Theater in Hamburg, and several times on "Le Plus Grand Cabaret du Monde" on France 2. After London Palladium Magic 2011 the magic press wrote that it was impossible to overstate the astonishment he created. Since 2006 he has shared stage and life with Vanessa Karvo.

He was our guest at the Masters of Magic Convention 2013.
