Michele Foresta
On our stage at:
2008 2010
Michele Foresta, known to all as Mago Forest, was born in Nicosia, in the province of Enna in Sicily, on 22 February 1961. A comedian, magician, showman and television host, he trained in Milan at the mime and theatre school "Il Palcoscenico", made his debut in London and Paris and then worked the cabarets of Italy. That is where Mago Forest was born: a naive, hopeless magician who hypnotises bananas, bends cutlery and attempts impossible Houdini-style escapes, with just one outcome, hilarious failure. Complete with his magic formula, "keky-yury-yury-keky!", and his famous partner whom nobody has ever seen.
Renzo Arbore launched him on television in 1988 with "Indietro tutta!". With Nino Frassica he wrote the book "Come diventare maghi in 15 minuti" (How to Become a Magician in 15 Minutes), he was a regular on Zelig from 1997 to 2001, holding the record for appearances, and with Raul Cremona he created the duo "Sigmund & Joy". Since 2001 he has been the face of the Gialappa's Band shows, from "Mai dire Grande Fratello" to "Mai dire Iene", has hosted the Festivalbar and Zelig Circus, and was a regular on "Stasera tutto è possibile".
Audiences at the Masters of Magic Convention applauded him in 2008 and 2010.
