Stan Allen

On our stage at:

United Magicians for the World 2020 2021 FISM European Championship 2024

Stan Allen grew up in Southern California, where he was a member of the Long Beach Mystics, a unique magic club for teens. For much of the 1970s and 80s he was a full-time comedy magician in night clubs and on cruise ships: for eight years he was an exclusive entertainer for Princess Cruises, performing at sea on the "Love Boats" and on land with the marketing division, while also writing and producing special events for major corporations.

In 1985 he started Inside Magic, a monthly newsletter that quickly gained an international following and six years later became MAGIC Magazine, the full-colour monthly that grew to 132 pages and more than 10,000 readers, recognised by the 2005 Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest-selling magazine for magicians. In 2001 he brought its pages to life with the first MAGIC Live, an "unconventional convention" that regularly sells out. He retired the magazine in 2016 after 301 issues, and continues to produce MAGIC Live every year while serving on an advisory board for the Entertainment Management degree programme at the University of Central Florida.

He was our guest at United Magicians for the World, the 2020 online charity show, at the Masters of Magic Convention 2021 and at the FISM European Championship of Magic in Saint-Vincent in 2024.
