Domenico Dante

The president who led world magic

Domenico Dante is one of the most authoritative figures in world magic: for over a decade he served as International President of FISM, the Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques, the world federation that unites magic societies from every continent and organises the World Championship of Magic. Elected at the Blackpool congress in 2012, he guided the federation through the world championships of Rimini 2015, Busan 2018, Quebec 2022 and Turin 2025, and today he continues to serve FISM as International Advisor. Under his presidency the world championship came to Italy twice, both times produced by Masters of Magic.

His story, however, begins on stage. A performer since his youth, he charmed audiences with his dove act and appeared on Italian national television back in the 1980s, when RAI first brought his elegance into Italian homes. As President of the Club Magico Italiano, a role he has held since the 1990s, he has organised and produced over a hundred conventions and congresses, building bridges between Italian magic and the international community for decades.

Masters of Magic honoured him with the Golden Grolla in 2018, in Saint-Vincent, while he was leading world magic as FISM President: a tribute to the man who gave Italian magic a global voice.
