Italy's beloved comedy magician

Raul Cremona is the most beloved comedy magician in Italy. Born in Milan, he grew up on stage between cabaret and magic clubs, and reached national fame on Italy's biggest comedy television shows, where his characters became instant classics: the pompous wizard Mago Oronzo, the nostalgic Silvano and a gallery of figures that made millions of Italians laugh while, almost without noticing, watching real magic in prime time.

Because behind the comedy there is a true magician: a performer trained in classic manipulation and illusion, with a genuine devotion to the history of the art and its masters. In theatres his one-man shows mix parody and repertoire pieces, and among colleagues he is known as a passionate connoisseur who collects, studies and honours the Italian magic tradition from which his characters are born.

A friend of Masters of Magic and a familiar face on its stages, Cremona received the Golden Grolla in 2017, in the year of legends, as the artist who married laughter and wonder better than anyone in Italy.
