Walter Rolfo

The founder of Masters of Magic

Walter Rolfo is the founder of Masters of Magic and the driving force behind the most innovative magic convention in the world. An engineer by training and a magician by vocation, he built in Saint-Vincent an event that year after year has brought the greatest artists on the planet to Italy, and he transformed it into a production company whose shows, television programmes and grand events have carried Italian magic far beyond its borders.

Under his direction Masters of Magic achieved what no other organisation has done: producing two FISM World Championships of Magic, in Rimini in 2015 and in Turin in 2025, with more than 150 competitors from over fifty countries, alongside the FISM European Championship. As an author and television producer he has created formats and specials seen by millions, and as a speaker he has brought the philosophy of the impossible to companies and universities: for Rolfo, every impossibility is simply a problem whose solution has not been imagined yet.

In 2017 Masters of Magic gave the Golden Grolla to its own founder, an award decided by the artists and the community around him, for a career spent making the impossible a starting point.

Honoured by Masters of Magic among the legends who have shaped the history of magic.
